SEVEN LINE PRAYER TO GURU RINPOCHE (CAJUN R&B STYLE)

Ngakchang Rinpoche recorded this rock and roll version of the Seven Line Prayer at the request of Lama Tharchin Rinpoche.

Hūṃ! In the north-west of the land of Oḍḍiyāna

In the heart of a lotus flower,

Endowed with the most marvellous attainments,

You are renowned as the ‘Lotus-born’,

Surrounded by many hosts of ḍākinīs

Following in your footsteps,

I pray to you: Come, inspire me with your blessing!

Guru padma siddhi hūṃ

"It is said that these lines are the prayers of invitation to Guru Rinpoche to the assembly of feast offerings. The Assembly (Tshog'Khor) comprises Rigdzins, Siddhas, Pawos, and Khadromas by the Dorje Khadromas."

Tulku Thundup

Spinning the three times

Spinning the Three Times is Rinpoche's CD of Vajrayana prayers and inspired songs. He sings in both traditional and original melodies and includes prayers like: Seven Line Prayer, Purification Practices (Speech Purification, Heart of Interdependent Origination, and 100 Syllable Vajrasattva), and the Dedication of Merit (Jangchub Semcho).

Good Mornin' Sun (1964)

Good Morning Sun was written in 1964 and recorded in 1978 for Rinpoche's video documentary "Energy in the Marketplace". Shelby Flint - Vocals, Rinpoche on guitar. Written as sun was coming up in Seal Beach, CA.

LADINO (an excerpt)

Ladino is the music Jews took with them when they were expelled from Spain in 1492. It's finding new audiences, thanks to artists like Yasmin Levy.  Rinpoche's electric guitar solo interprets the genre in the manner of Carlos Santana and Michael Bloomfield.

duet with sazaha red sky

Rinpoche and Sazaha Red Sky harmonica duet at the 4th Street Mall in Santa Monica.

LIVE @ LEIMERT PARK - HARMONICA BLOWDOWN 2006

Rinpoche says of this track "THE LEIMERT CONCERT WAS THE CELEBRATION OF THE OPENING OF THE BARBARA MORRISON PERFORMING ARTS CENTER IN LEIMERT PARK.  FOR 6 MONTHS IN 2006,  I WAS THE FEATURED GUEST ARTIST AT BARBARA MORRISON'S SOCAL 5 STAR HOTEL CIRCUIT - WEARING MY TAKDROL (IT WAS A LOT OF FUN). BESIDE THE GIG , I MADE STRONG WISHING PRAYERS WHILE THERE FOR HER PERFORMING ARTS CENTER AND NEIGHBORHOOD IN GENERAL TO BE SAFE HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS."
